How it works
Every number the game runs on is on this page. Nothing is hidden, nothing is rounded in our favour — these are the exact values the site computes with, and the ones the contract will inherit.
The loop
An NFT is a pool. Closed, it does nothing. You open it on the staking page and it is locked for 8 hours. During that time the weather runs: at random moments a rain or a drought begins, each lasting 10–20 minutes. Rain fills your pool with $RPOOL; drought burns off part of what it holds. When the 8 hours are up you choose: restake for another round, or take the NFT back to your wallet.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Open | The pool joins the weather and is locked for 8 hours. It cannot be transferred or closed during the lock. |
| Play | Events run back to back, 10–20 minutes each. Rain adds, drought takes. |
| Decide | Once the lock expires: restake for another round, or send it back to your wallet. |
The schedule
Time is one unbroken chain of events with no gaps. Each event rolls its own type and its own length between 10 and 20 minutes, so the next one starts the instant the last ends — and you cannot know in advance when that is.
- Rain and drought do not alternate. The type is rolled fresh every time: 58% rain, 42% drought. Three rains in a row or two droughts back to back are normal.
- The weather is global. When it rains, it rains on every open pool at the same second — nobody gets a private forecast.
- The schedule is derived from the event index, so two people looking at the same moment see identical values, and any past event can be re-checked.
Rain — what you gain
A pool earns in proportion to the time it spent open inside the event:gain = rate × hours × tier multiplier. There are no hidden coefficients.
| Rain | Chance | Rate | Standard, full 15 min | God, full 15 min |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drizzle | 44% | 6 $RPOOL/h | 1.50 | 7.50 |
| Shower | 32% | 14 $RPOOL/h | 3.50 | 17.50 |
| Downpour | 18% | 34 $RPOOL/h | 8.50 | 42.50 |
| Monsoon | 6% | 90 $RPOOL/h | 22.50 | 112.50 |
Percentages above are the share of rains, not of all events. Rain itself is 58% of events.
Drought — what you lose
A drought does not drain gradually. It strikes once, at the moment the event ends, and takes a share of whatever the pool holds right then. Opening mid-drought does not protect you — the hit lands on every pool that is open when it closes.
Each drought rolls its own severity inside a band. That is why one can shave off 2% and the next can take everything.
| Drought | Chance | Takes | Feels like |
|---|---|---|---|
| Haze | 40% | 2% – 12% | a sip off the top |
| Dry Spell | 32% | 12% – 35% | a real chunk |
| Scorch | 21% | 35% – 70% | most of the pool |
| Blackout | 7% | 70% – 100% | up to every last drop |
Dodging — the order of checks
When a drought ends, each pool is resolved in exactly this order:
- Dodge roll. If it lands, the pool takes zero damage. Nothing else is checked.
- Absorption. If the dodge failed, the tier absorbs a fixed share of the incoming damage.
- Floor. God pools never lose more than 25% in a single event, even against a 100% Blackout.
| Tier | Catch | Dodge | Absorbs | Max loss per event | Side drop chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | ×1 | 5% | — | 100% | 6% |
| Legendary 1/1 | ×2.5 | 40% | 50% | 100% | 22% |
| God | ×5 | 75% | 75% | 25% | 45% |
Worked example: a Scorch rolls 60% damage. A Standard pool that fails its dodge loses 60%. A Legendary that fails loses 30%. A God that fails loses 15%. If any of them dodges, they lose nothing at all.
Side drops
Rain sometimes brings more than $RPOOL. The check runs once per event, and only for a pool that was open for the entire shower — catching the tail end does not count.
| Ticker | Share of drops | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| NVDA | 26% | 0.0002 – 0.0025 |
| TSLA | 22% | 0.0003 – 0.003 |
| AAPL | 20% | 0.0004 – 0.0035 |
| MSTR | 16% | 0.0002 – 0.0018 |
| HOOD | 16% | 0.0006 – 0.006 |
Can it be rigged?
No, and you do not have to take our word for it. The weather seed is committed publicly as a hash before an event starts and revealed when it ends. Your personal rolls — dodge and side drop — come from hash(seed, tokenId). That means the operator cannot know who will be lucky, cannot change an outcome after seeing it, and any player can recompute any past event for any pool and check the result.
If the keeper ever goes silent, anyone can trigger a fallback that closes the event neutrally. A dead keeper can never freeze your pool or your rewards.
